Kirloskar Ferrous Q1 profit drops 65% after one-time merger cost masks stronger core business

Kirloskar Ferrous Industries reported a sharp fall in June-quarter profit after booking a one-time expense related to its ISMT merger. Excluding the exceptional item, the company’s core operating performance improved, with revenue and pre-tax profit before exceptional items both rising.
