The contract marks Hirect’s entry into the propulsion systems segment for Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) trainsets, expanding its presence in India’s railway equipment market. The company will supply complete propulsion systems for four trainsets to the Modern Coach Factory over the next 24 months, following its recent corporate rebranding.
