FIIs extend brutal selloff; markets slide and rupee touches new low

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers in Indian equities on Friday (January 23), with provisional outflows of ₹4,113.38 crore, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) stepped in as net buyers with ₹4,102.56 crore. For the week, FIIs recorded total net sales of ₹10,639 crore, reflecting persistent selling pressure.
