JM Financial says Indian market consolidating, FY27 earnings could bring foreign investors back

Chirag Negandhi, MD, JM Financial Services & JM Financial and Ankur Jhaveri, MD & CEO-Institutional Equities, JM Institutional Securities said the Nifty has been moving in a tight range since September 2024, similar to past periods that later saw strong gains. Both executives noted that an earnings rise in FY27 will be “the key trigger” for renewed capital flows. They expect sectors such as consumption, financials, power transmission and renewables to benefit, and also see better discipline in IPO pricing.
