Chetan Ahya, Chief Asia Economist at Morgan Stanley, pointed out that there’s a time lag between when tariffs are announced and when their effects start appearing in economic data. As a result, the full effects on capital expenditure and trade are likely to become clearer from the third quarter of this year.
