The rally was led by large-cap financial and energy stocks, with HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries emerging as the biggest contributors to the gains. The Nifty Bank index closed at a record high of 57,207.22, up 586 points, or 1.03%, lifted by strong performances in HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank.
