JSW Steel’s Q1 crude steel output up 14% to 7.26 MT despite planned shutdowns

The company’s Indian operations contributed 7.02 million tonne, marking a 15% increase from the same quarter last year. However, production declined 5% sequentially, primarily due to planned maintenance shutdowns of blast furnaces. Shares of JSW Steel Ltd ended at ₹1,045.05, up by ₹2.35, or 0.23%, on the BSE.
