Over the course of the week, FIIs offloaded a total of ₹3,234 crore in equities. The bulk of this was seen on December 6, when FIIs sold ₹1,830 crore, as markets reacted to the Reserve Bank of India maintaining its repo rate despite the slowdown in India’s economic growth, though the central bank cut its cash reserve ratio by 50 basis points to increase liquidity in the banking system.
